    To win a prize, you need to match the numbers you pick to the numbers that are drawn. Prizes start at $8 for matching two of the six numbers and go up to the jackpot of $1 million a year for life. To win the top prize, you must match all five main numbers and the Millionaire Ball.

  • 02 How much does a Millionaire for Life ticket cost?

    Millionaire for Life costs $5 per play. Tickets can be bought in-store from authorized retailers in participating states, or you can order online through a courier service in a matter of seconds.

  • 03 How do I claim a prize?

    If you played in-store, the claims process can differ slightly from state to state but generally it follows the same rules:

    • Up to $600: Visit any licensed retailer in the state where you bought your ticket or mail it in to the state lottery.
    • Other non-annuity prizes: The best way to claim is to mail in your winning ticket, along with a claim form, to the relevant state lottery. Alternatively, visit the lottery headquarters or a regional claim center.
    • Top two prizes: Claim in person at the relevant state lottery headquarters.

    If you play through a courier service such as Jackpot.com, prizes up to $600 will be automatically transferred to your account. For larger amounts, you will be notified of the win, and arrangements will be made for the ticket to be delivered to you securely so that you can proceed with the claim yourself.

    The claim period varies from state to state, but it is usually 180 days in some states, such as Ohio, or one year in states such as Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.
